Rainy days

This past weekend we had our first taste of the summer that is to come. Dark low skies and lots of rain. The garden and frogs loved it. I've been listening to the frogs unsychronized chorus of an evening as they each call out from their respective downpipes. I do love a green tree frog. The snails and slugs love it too. I've been having to wash lettuce extra carefully. It's the old joke -

What's worse than finding a snail in your salad?
Finding half a snail.

Today it is beautiful and sunny with a fresh breeze to blow away the clouds. It's wonderful to be at home with no plans to go anywhere and spend some time in the garden and catch up on some domestic chores. I might even listen to a podcast or two.

May your day be beautiful and kind.
